Volunteers
We welcome volunteers interested in promoting heritage, technical advisors and any other type of volunteer.
The A.V.P.V.U's objective is to promote and preserve the military heritage of the Ubaye Valley as well as raising awareness of the impact of the military presence in its history and traditions.
Volunteers have dedicated more than one hundred hours of work per year to this mission. Complex work such as restarting ventilation systems or simpler tasks such as treating rust, painting doors, grills, framework, beds, small wagons, ..... in order to protect them from being ruined over time.
The maintenance and restoration of the outside parts of the structures requires a lot of time and effort.
The A.V.P.V.U also organizes visits based on the theme "the lives of the sub-marine military personnel in the mountains"
